CHOAM Board of Directors comes under fire
In recent months the public clamor has been steadily increasing over the seeming inability, or unwillingness, for the CHOAM Board of Directors to actually manage the Empires markets. It comes as no surprise given growing number and variety of economic criseses which have rocked the greater and lesser Houses. What started as minor economic discomfort has now grown to possible recession and a feared collapse of our entire financial system.
Where the crises merely confined to high prices it might be bearable. Unfortunatley it has in recent months spread untill many important commodoties such as spice were downright impossible to procure. This has in turn lead to hoarding, not only of spice but also of other vital resources such as labor and munitions.
Matters might not be so bad if only the Directors would actually respond to any inquiries. There steadfast refusal to answer even simple questions from any quarter only stand to fuel an already poisoned atmosphere of fear and ignorance. Unless something is done soon things can only get worse.
Paranoia has reached such a level that the Emperor himself has seen fit to comment upon it at the current Landsraad Plenary. Given His connections to CHOAM, it can be hoped that He will lead the effort to restore faith in our crumbling financial institutions and once more bring prosperity to the Empire.
