Giedi Prime Helps Itself as Harkonnen Flounder

House Harkonnen has failed to distribute aid in timely fashion and the pyon populace have taken to helping themselves

The newly invested Baron Maksimilian Harkonnen has come under fire in the first few months of his leadership with accusations that the aid programme instituted on Giedi Prime has been apathetic at best.

The Baron is dealing with a major reconstruction programme following the devastating plague which decimated the civilian population on Giedi Prime leading to the eventual disgrace and fall of former Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. Part of this programme includes the distribution of medical aid to beliguered pyons who survived the contagion but who are now affected by unsanitary conditions and a high risk of diseases such as cholera and typhoid.

However, it would appear that the new Harkonnen regime is unprepared for the extent of the reconstruction efforts and that, during their negligence of the pyon population, the peoples of Giedi Prime have begun helping themselves: anonymous sources report that large amounts of pharmaceuticals have been distributed planet-wide outside of the auspices of House Harkonnen. Precisely who is responsible for assisting Harkonnen pyons, when their own regime neglects them, is unknown but what is certain is that the credibility of Baron Maksimilian Harkonnen has been quite considerably damaged as a result.
