Guild services disrupted

It has recently come to light that the much trumpeted Guild Gold Line, a vital component of passenger and freight traffic, has been seriously undermanned in recent months. While the cause of this lapse is currently unknown the results are all too clear. Conservative estimates put the economic damages to affected users in the neighborhood of 1,200,000s.

The Guild has not yet offered any explanation for the Gold Lines' status or how it came to be in this sorry shape.They are however offering assurances that the situation will be rectified swiftly. In an uncharacteristically apologetic gesture, Guild officials have released compensation to the order of the losses incurred from disruption to passenger and freight traffic.

This sad state of affairs calls to mind another recent lapse by the Guild Bank in which funds of House Harkonnen were released to a rebel branch of the family under unusual circumstances. At the time the Guild managed to weather that incident fairly well, owing in no small part to the fact that the rebel Harkonnens wound up winning in their bid for power. How this will ultimately affect the Guilds relations with the Imperial House and the other Great Houses remains to be seen.
