New Appointees for the Court

With a new year nearly upon us, it is time once again for the reappointment of seats to the Empires highest court. While there has been quite a bit of movement in the seats, there are at this time very few surprises. Among these though, the greatest shock would have to be the return of House Harkonnen. Not only have they returned to the court but they are now appointed as Chair Pro Tempore. In a short time they have gone from near total ruin to now chairing the high court.

Less of a surprise was the loss of House Ecaz's seat. This was hardly unexpected due to the fact that they were appointed to fill a seat which had been vacated part way through the last term. Though their fortunes are certainly improving it would seem that their peers do not yet see fit to see them continue in such a position of authority.

In other court related matters, House Ziyaira has again been appointed which is a clear indication of their return to Imperial politics. Likewise, House Atreides has managed to keep their seat but if rumors are to be believed may not retain it for long if they do not show more interest in the courts docket then they have in recent months. We can be certain that the new Chair Pro Tempore will be watching to make sure that they do, and will gladly move to have them replaced if they do not.
